It is a condition of your training program that you are available between 6am and 6pm during the dates of your training. We appreciate and expect your full co-operation and understanding of the following:
Course Time Changes - Vehicles Maintenance
In your career as a HGV driver, you will learn that safety is the number 1 priority. Each day starts with a walk around check to ensure that your vehicle is safe to drive.
All our training vehicles receive regular maintenance. They are inspected at the beginning and end of each day. If we have a fault, we have our own workshop to carry out repairs and we have a call out service to fix issues within 4 hours. We prepare all vehicles thoroughly for the following day to avoid any disruption.
Occasionally, we may discover a vehicle fault late at the end of the day which can delay your start time the following day. We will communicate these changes as soon as possible and appreciate your co-operation and understanding. You will not miss out on any training hours, but we do require your flexibility while we reschedule.
Course Time Changes - DVSA Exam Time
The Department of Vehicles and Standards (DVSA) are operated by the Department of Transport. It is a government agency. They are responsible for providing your examiner and conducting your test. We set up your course based on this time and date given to us by the DVSA. If they change the exam time OR cancel the exam, this is outside our control. Our team will advise you of any changes and attempt to reschedule your training as close as possible to your original course. We appreciate your understanding and co-operation if your exam date is changed by the DVSA.
Change Course Time or Instructor
We have a large team of instructors and where possible we keep the same instructor with the same student each day. If a member of our staff is ill or has to self-isolate, we can normally arrange cover quickly and keep disruption to your course to a minimum.
